We're Not a Cookie Factory. Not that I have anything against cookie factories. (At any given time, you'll always find some
Oreos or Fig Newtons in my cupboard.) But when most people want a box of cookies sent, they're not looking for a "store
bought" or even "bakery bought" quality. That can be done easily enough by just going to the store and buying some
themselves. What people are looking for is something truly homemade. And that's what I deliver.
It's Basically A One-Woman Show. All phone calls, emails, and online orders placed with COOKIES DIRECT are handled by
me personally. So when you place your order, it's going directly to the person who will process your order, and who will
personally oversee baking, packaging, and shipping. That means you don't have to worry about hearing, "Do you remember
who took your order?" or "Our shipping department should have informed you..." When you call, you won't hear a menu of
choices or have to listen to background music while "your call will be answered by the next available representative."
I'm a Mom. Having a son and a daughter who have now both graduated from college, I understand what it's like to be
separated from your kids. I've dealt with homesickness, that first birthday away from home, and stress during exam week. I
know what they like for cookies, and I know that when they want them, they want them now. (They really haven't changed
much, have they?)

Last, but not least, I am a shamelessly proud parent: Both of our children are graduates of Connecticut College. Our
daughter, Katie Ouellette, is an admissions officer at Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts. In 2005, we welcomed a
new addition to our family: a son-in-law. Evan is an attorney with the City of Boston. Our son, David, is Director of A&R at
Rounder Records in Burlington, Massachusetts. And if I am going to mention my children, then it goes without saying that I
need to mention my husband, Barry, who, as VP of Sales for Artel in Westbrook, Maine, has provided me with countless of
hours of support, encouragement, and sound advice from day one.
